White fused alumina: Although alumina prices were reduced in December, the prices of white fused alumina are relatively stable as a whole and temporarily not adjusted. In Henan region, the mainstream price of white fused alumina Al2O3≥99% section sand is 4500-4700 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of fine powder is 4700-4900 RMB/ton (factory price including tax), whose prices are unchanged compared with last month.

In December, there is a great conference in Henan region, so some white fused alumina manufacturers have to stop production. The spot market is reduced so it is also understandable that the market price of white fused alumina does not fall with the dropping of raw material. It is expected that the price of white fused alumina may change after the New Year's day.

Brown fused alumina: It is reported that the enterprises' production situation of brown fused alumina is not satisfactory this year. Only a few companies reach the production capacity of 60000 tons, and other small and medium-sized enterprises can only be a quarter or a third of annual plan, and the output is just about 5000-20000 tons.

Affected by market factors, the index in Shanxi area is Al2O3≥95% and the market prices of dumping furnace brown fused alumina mainly focus on 3800-3900 RMB/ton, but there are also a few manufacturer that can offer the price of 4000-4200 RMB/ton, or the price of 3700 RMB/ton. It seems that brown fused alumina production enterprises also play a price war in order to recoup funds, so the market price is in disorder. Customer response is only a policy for old customers, and in January 2016, this kind of phenomenon will gradually get better.
