The Operating Rate of Brown Fused Alumina Manufacturers Fell to 17.15% in August

In August 2016, there are 83 brown fused alumina manufacturers whose operating rate is only 17.15% that falls slightly compared with 17.75% in July.

In 2016, the overall operating rate of Chinese brown fused alumina manufacturers falls sharply compared with last year. With off-season arrival of refractory materials, the average operating rate begins to decline in June, and in July  and August, it has a jump decline. Especially in July, it decreases by 11.49% on average in China, and continues to go down slightly in August.

In Guizhou, the operating rate of brown fused alumina factories is about 18.3% in August by, which decreases by 2.11% compared with the previous month. They have slack demand in August, so brown fused alumina producers mainly depend on-demand production. And there are some manufacturers that have to stop the production because of cash flow pressure.

In Henan, the average operating rate is only 7.77% in August, which decreases by 3.8% compared with 11.57% in July. Influenced by environmental protection supervision, most local producers in Henan are still in shut-down state. By the end of August, some manufacturers have completed the reform.

In September, a team is set up to test and inspect equipment of manufacturers in Henan, which makes some manufacturers stop the production again or reduce the production. The sources inside think that the operating rate in Henan may be still affected in September.
