Features of Abrasives Products Made of Ceramic Corundum Abrasives

Ceramic corundum abrasives belong to sintered abrasives, whose grain size is very small, only about 100 ~ 500nm. They only account for one percent of crystal size of common corundum abrasive grains. Abrasives products made of ceramic corundum abrasives have long service life, good self-sharpening, high cutting efficiency, and are not easy to burn the workpieces. They will be shown in the following respects.

A, Its abrasive grains are sharp, and have strong cutting force and high grinding efficiency. What’s more, it can undertake large cutting depth, roughing feed high efficiency grinding.

B, It has good toughness, less wear, and good shape retention for grinding wheel. They can be used for precision grinding and molding grinding, and are easy to obtain high dimensional accuracy.

C, The durability of grinding wheel is high, and its service life is long, up to 5 ~ 10 times of ordinary corundum grinding wheel. In addition, it has low change frequency, reduces the secondary processing time and down time, and is beneficial to use CNC automatic machine, to realize automatic production.

D, If grinding wheel has good self-sharpening, it will be not easy to jam and will maintain stable grinding performance. It can reduce correction value (about a third of general corundum grinding wheel), decrease the times of correction and improve production efficiency.

E, It does not need special grinding equipment and correction devices. There is no special requirements for CBN and diamond grinding equipment or the difficulties of correction. It doesn’t have special requirements on grinding fluid, and is really easy to extended use.
