Recently, LiqTech has received an approx. $2.00 million order for a groundwater treatment plant from Synertech for a project in Serbia.

LiqTech International, Inc. is a clean technology company that has developed and provided state-of the-art technologies for gas and liquid purification using ceramic silicon carbide filters, particularly highly specialized filters for the control of soot exhaust particles from diesel engines and for liquid filtration. Using nanotechnology, LiqTech develops products using proprietary silicon carbide technology.
Recently, LiqTech has received an approx. $2.00 million order for a groundwater treatment plant from Synertech for a project in Serbia. LiqTech will deliver engineering and key components for precipitation of Arsenic, Boron, Iron and Manganese and a complete Ultra Filtration system based on the Company´s SiC membranes. The order is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2016.
Mr. Sune Mathiesen, LiqTech CEO, remarked, "Over the years we have done several pilots and installations in the groundwater treatment market. With this order we are taking another important step in establishing ourselves, and our technology, in the fast growing water market."
"Access to clean drinking water is a growing problem throughout the world. We have proven that our technology offers several advantages in this competitive market. We have developed solutions for treatment of groundwater (like in the case for this order) and we also offer solutions for reclamation of surface and storm water, reclamation of back-wash water from sand filters for direct drinking water reuse and even reclamation of municipal waste water. We see a growing demand from the water industry and we believe that we are well positioned for further growth in this market," Mr. Mathiesen concluded.
Mr. Nenad Obradovic, Synertech CEO, remarked, "We are very pleased to place this order with LiqTech. We did a pilot test with the LiqTech ceramic membranes and which proved that this was the right technology for our project. We will build and operate this water treatment plant for 10 years and we wanted to find a supplier and product that could offer us the right mix between operating and capital expenses. LiqTech's ceramic membrane provides us this combination. The robustness of the membranes and the fully automated system will keep the maintenance costs to a minimum and the compactness of the system will keep construction costs to a minimum. In LiqTech we have found a partner with a unique understanding of our application and therefore we decided not only to buy the Ultra Filtration system from them but also to source the engineering and key components for the precipitation from them."
"In Serbia there is a great need for new water treatment plants to provide clean drinking water to consumers. We are currently exploring several other opportunities and we are working closely together with LiqTech in developing these projects," Mr. Obradovic concluded.
