First, we can observe the emery exposed on the cutting head, and its concentration and distribution. Good diamond saw blade will have proper content of emery, but it is not too much and disperses uniformly.

Second, we can observe whether the weld is complete and neat. If the weld is discontinuous and no vertical alignment, which will affect chip removal and cooling, and may lead to loss of the cutting head.

Third, put saw blade in your hands to observe diamond segment and matrix in horizontal plane alignment. If it is uneven and jagged, it is likely to cause edge breakage in using process, or loss of the cutting head.

Fourth, we can compare the thickness between diamond segment and the substrate. Taking 350 mm granite saw blade for example, in general, the segment should be thicker around 1 mm than the substrate. 350 mm marble saw blade segment will be thicker around 0.2 mm - 0.5 mm than the substrate. Why it is designed is to avoid damage substrate and improve the service life of saw blade.

Fifth, the sharpness and wear-resisting degree of saw blade will have a reciprocal relationship. Our suggestion is that when the service life of saw blade achieves the anticipated goal, and the sharpness is moderate, please don't ask for an increase in life span. Because of the external environment, such as the operation of workers, the hardness of stone and so on and so forth will change at any time. Once the external environment changes, the previous wear resistant saw blade will not be used again.
