Domestic First High-end Silicon Carbide Production Line Broke Ground in Xi'an

On the morning of 24th, March, the production project "silicon carbide powder and whisker products" whose total investment is 180 million RMB, broke ground at air base in Xi'an. This project will add new vitality to grow new material industry cluster at air base. At the same time, there is no doubt that it will bring good news for many silicon carbide manufacturers.

Cubic silicon carbide is a kind of new strategic material, which is wear-resistant, high temperature resistant and heat resistant, and it has corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, good conductive properties and other excellent performances. It is understood that the project covers about 40 acres, and gets a total investment of 180 million RMB, planning to put into production this year. After reaching design capacity, it can realize an annual output value above 200 million RMB.
