Black Silicon Carbide witnessed Slight Price Decline

Since supply exceeds demand in abrasive grains market, the price of China first-grade black silicon carbide has declined slightly. Suppliers think it difficult to get orders.

News from a metallurgical plant with 1,000 tons black silicon carbide in stock in inner Mongolia reveals that at present, 97＃ black silicon carbide factory price is 5,550 Yuan per ton, compared to the price last year, it declined 50 Yuan per ton.

"There was sluggish market both in China and abroad for first-class black silicon carbide", says a relevant personnel, "because demand for second-grade product, we do not plan to adjust production."

Insiders from a metallurgical plant with 2000 tons monthly output silicon carbide reveal that 98＃ black silicon carbide factory price is 5700 Yuan, decreased 50 Yuan per ton compared to that of the last month.

"Because refractory market is confronted with a hard period, our downstream consuming industries show little interest to purchase first-class black silicon carbide."
